Our neighbor Bob comes over every once in a while to have Kelly fix his computer or to talk about ham radios. I overheard him ask Kelly when we were going to start having, “little bambinos.” I hadn’t heard the kid question asked in that way before.

I have the take the West E test in Elementary Education in a few weeks. I started studying and some of the questions I can’t quite remember and some I have no clue. One question asks about finding the range of a set of numbers. It’s been years since I’ve done anything with range or mean, median or mode. So I searched online for definitions. The most helpful one is actually a rap.

Now Mode, Mode, I've been told,
is the # that you see the most.

Median, Median, Median, is the man.
The man in the middle, the man in the middle.
Just line up the #'s the best you can
From smallest to largest,

Of course he is better than all the rest.
Just add, add, add all your #'s,
and when you divide
you won't believe your eyes-
you'll only have one # to your surprise.

Last but not least is our friend the Range-
He isn't the best, but he sure is strange.
You start with the Hiiiggghhhh and subtract
the Loooowwww!!!
You've got the Range and there is no mo'!

I have great friends. One of these friends, Brandi was sad that I never had a birthday party for myself (my birthday is May 9^th). Well last Saturday I invited her and some other girlfriends and my sister over for a girls’ night. Everyone was supposed to come over around 7pm.

My sister came over early around 5pm. At about 6:30 Kelly left for the grocery store for miscellaneous stuff. Then he called at 6:45 to say the the belt on his truck broke and asked if I could bring him his tool box. I was a nice Katie and drove it down to Fred Meyer then drove back home. I opened the front door and all of my friends yelled, “SURPRISE!” They decorated the whole upstairs with birthday and teacher'ish banners. My Kelly was in on the whole thing and faked that the belt on his truck broke. It was pretty cool.

Last Wednesday was my brother-in-law’s 25^th birthday. My mother-in-law made the best cake – EVER for him.

If you look closely your noticed the hand crafted monkey feet made from tootsie rolls. Soooo tasty!

I was sitting on the couch in our basement and I heard Kelly grunt something I couldn’t quite understand from the downstairs bathroom.

“I just dropped a magazine I was about to read in the toilet.” He said.

I asked, “well, is it icky?”

“It’s soaking wet.”

“Um was there anything in the toilet except for water.”

He replied, “well, I had just peed in it.”

Ah, good times at the Keeton house.

My cousin Christine and her now husband Greg got married last night at the Hansen Place in Sumner. The wedding and reception were beautiful and a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see the photographer’s pictures. These pictures are good (thank you for taking them Ken) but I don’t think they do the bride justice. She looked AMAZING last night and these pictures pale in comparison to the real thing.

I just got an email telling me where I’ll get to have my second our of three internships. I’ll be at Sunrise Elementary in the Kent School District (I was in the KSD). I’ll be in a first grade classroom. I’m SO excited! The best part is the school is only 2.2 miles from my house! I’ll start whenever school starts in the fall.
